About

The Brain Research and Imaging for Neurorehabilitation (BRAIN) Lab is a research laboratory in the McGill University School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital in Laval, QC. We use innovation in neuroimaging to study the reorganization of the brain due to age and stroke, with an emphasis on motor signaling. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, we have introduced another arm of research concerning the impact of COVID-19 on the brain. The long-term goal of the lab is to design, validate, and recommend novel therapeutic interventions for those with age or stroke-related motor impairments — be they strength training programs, non-invasive brain stimulation protocols, or otherwise — and to identify for which sub-populations these treatments are most powerful.
